NZRE teams up with Foodstuffs on reusable bags

NZ Retail Equipment have been heavily involved as part of the project team tasked with the transition to the new world of no plastic bags at check-outs. As shoppers are learning to take their re-usable bags along each time they visit the grocery store we have come up with a novel plastic hook that can be applied on the front face of the trolleys. That way retailers are happy to have the trolley baskets free for products and shoppers arrive at the check-out with the bags in easy reach of the packers.

It will be an ongoing education process for shoppers to learn to place “bags inside bags” so as not to try and hang 10 bags individually on the hooks.
